How this site makes money, stated plainly, and the rules we hold ourselves to so that it never changes what we write.
Somebody has to pay for a website. This page explains how this one does, and what we will not do to earn it.
The arrangement
Product links on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, the shop may pay us a small commission for sending you.
You never pay more because of it. The commission comes out of the shop's margin, not out of your pocket. The price you see is the price you would have paid had you typed the shop's address in yourself.
Our catalogue and affiliate links
Our product catalogue comes from NetFlorist. Product buttons use OfferForge tracking links and open the corresponding NetFlorist product. Purchases made after following those links may earn us a commission.
Our links include a Giftz source tag so referral reports can identify visits from this site. The tag identifies the page placement, not an individual visitor. The network and retailer may use their own cookies after you follow a link.
NetFlorist supplies the product photographs, descriptions, prices and delivery listings. Our collections and choosing guidance are our own. We have not personally tested the products.
The rules we hold ourselves to
- Commission never decides what we recommend, or the order things appear in.
- Nothing is included because somebody paid for it to be included. We do not sell placement, sponsored posts or reviews.
- We do not write that something is good if we do not think it is.
- We have not tested, bought or personally used the products we write about, and we never pretend otherwise. Our guides are about how to choose well, not about products we have tried.
- We do not use coupon, cashback, incentive or reward schemes to push you through a link.
- We do not use pop-unders, forced redirects, misleading buttons or countdown timers.
What we are not responsible for
We are a publisher. We do not sell anything, hold stock, take payment, pack anything or deliver anything. Once you click through to a shop, everything that follows is between you and them: the final price, whether the item is in stock, payment, delivery, substitutions, refunds, returns and customer service.
Always check the shop's own cut-off times, delivery areas, prices and terms before you order. Ours are guidance. Theirs are binding.
Spotting the links
Every page that could carry affiliate links carries a disclosure on the page itself, and this notice sits in the footer of every page on the site. If you would rather not use our links, you are welcome to go to any shop directly. It costs you nothing either way, and the guidance on this site stays free to read.
